Basque Country, September 2012

We swapped apartments with our friends Regine Gimeno and William Snowdown, who live in San Sebastian on the Bay of Biscay near the French border. We got to stay in a lovely Art Nouveau-style neighborhood around the corner from many sidewalk cafés with cheap delicious wine, cider and tapas. Click on an image to enlarge it and see the caption.
Back in New York, William and Regine were there for another coupleof days, and had become acclimated. Note the Economy Candy t-shirt from our Lower East Side store for staples like chocolate and licorice.
